Service Projects Lonoke FBLA is active in many projects to help the community. Some of these projects include:
March of Dimes fundraiser at the Primary, Elementary, and High School. Students are given cards and ‘banks’ to be filled with change. For every $5 raised the student will receive 1 hour of community service. Our chapter of FBLA places at the top 3 within the state. The state FBLA chapter wins at the national level. Open Arms The Open Arms Shelter cares for abused and neglected chilren. Children can stay in the program for a maximum of forty-five days. In addition to a room, three meals a day, and around the clock supervision by our highly experienced staff, the children attend public school, receive individualized behavior management and instruction, and receive instruction on basic life skills. FBLA holds fundraisers to help support the organization financially and sponsors a collection for needed items. Merry Thanks is a partnership with the Lonoke Chamber of Commerce. The FBLA members assist with the Lonoke Christmas Open House for local businesses. Members serve as greeters at participating businesses, assist with door prize registration and serve refreshments. It's a great way to help the community. Angel Tree is a service project that provides toys to children on Christmas. FBLA helps give many children a merry Christmas by providing for several kids. Lonoke Literacy Council The Lonoke FBLA chapter sponsors a book drive. Over 900 books were collected and donated to the council to be given to their students and families and to be sold in the used book store.
