Small Group Counseling
What is Small Group Counseling?
Throughout the school year, students will have the opportunity to participate in counseling groups. Groups are led by the counselor and include four to six students. This is an excellent way for students to learn new skills, practice new behaviors, and better understand how to deal with the many problems life presents. Groups meet once a week (for about six to eight weeks) during the day for about 30 minutes.
Group topics may include:
Anger management skills
Grief & Loss
Social skills
Family changes
Attendance
School Success
Self Esteem
