Studies have proven that puzzles are good for strengthening higher order thinking skills such as problem solving, critical thinking, sorting, and synthesis. I've always loved to complete puzzles usually 1000+ pieces.
But only since I have been working with middle school students did I begin gluing puzzles together and attaching them to a display board to display in our library.
If you happen to have old puzzles lying around your house, and you think they'd be appropriate for middle schoolers, we'd love to have them.
You can send them now or bring them to the library during Parent/Teacher conferences.
