We are thrilled to let you know that it is time to register for Pre-K for the 2024-2025 school year! During the 2024-2025 school year, Pre-K students will have a unique opportunity to be the FIRST students to go to school in our new Lonoke Primary School building! We are due to move into the new building in December 2024! Our new building will have its own Pre-K center within the school! This will include all new Pre-K classrooms, a Pre-K safe room, Pre-K only playground and more! We are so excited your child has the opportunity to be a part of this!

Lonoke Public School District Pre-K Program Offers:

• High quality preschool instruction for children who will be 4 by August 1, 2024

• Both grant paid and tuition spots - 60 total spots available

• Developmental, hearing, vision, and dental screenings

• Low teacher-student rations (1-10), classroom size of 20 children

• Developmentally appropriate curriculum that meets the Arkansas Early Childhood Education Frameworks and focuses on development of the whole child: socially, emotionally, physically and cognitively

• Family resources such as parent education meetings and referrals to local agencies when needed

• Our program is Better Beginnings 3-Star Certified

• Each classroom has credentialed personnel to help students learn and grow

If your child will be four (4) years of age on or before August 1, 2024, and lives in the Lonoke School District, he/she is ready to be a Jackrabbit!

You may start the registration process for your child as soon as applications are available. Applications will be available on or before April 1, 2024. You may print off the application or pick one up from Lonoke Primary School. There is a box outside the front door where you can pick up a printed copy.  Do NOT turn in completed forms to the outside box.

The Pre-K Enrollment Process has changed. Please read carefully.

There are two different types of Applications to complete.

Please make sure you complete the correct one.

1. ABC-Arkansas Better Chance which is an income-based program. In order to verify your eligibility for this program, please click the link. Verify Income

2. Tuition - This is a paid Pre-K program. Tuition for this program is $156.25 a week.

Applications must have the following submitted in order to be complete:

• 1. Child's Birth Certificate
  2. Child's Social Security Card
  3. Well-Child Physical (if child is not 4 yet, then we will accept at a later date)
  4. Child's Shot Record

• 5. Copies of one of the following if applying for ABC class:

  • W-2's from 2023

  • Paystubs for the previous 4 months for all household income

  • Tax Return from 2023

Applications will be time-stamped as received and will be processed in the order received. Applications that are incomplete will not be processed until after all completed applications. Spots are limited.

 Applications may be submitted:

1. In Person During School Hours: Bring the completed application to Lonoke Primary School Office during school hours (7:30-3:30). Please use the side parking lot to park. Applications will be time stamped at this time. 

2. Complete Online: Available 24/7: You may print an application from the link below and submit all components online by emailing them to registration@lonokeschools.org. If emailing an application, you MUST upload the application and all documents to your device and email them as ONE complete document (file). Make sure that the documents are legible.

There is a checklist for each parent to check for completion. Applications will be processed by the Pre-K director at a later date.

Starting April 15, 2024, we will notify parents of appointments for those applications turned in completely. Please make sure that your completed paperwork contains good contact information so the registration process can be continued.
