Welcome to LHS EAST. My name is Amanda Wicker. I have been teaching for 20 years. I have a variety of experience from kindergarten-12th grade. This will be my 4th  year at the high school level teaching EAST. It is going to be an interesting year as has all of 2020. We will continue to help our school and community no matter what Covid19 throws at us though. I live in Lonoke with my husband and our threee sons. I have a senior, a freshman, and a 3rd grader that keep me very busy. I love to run, crossfit, read, I enjoy the lake, sports, hunting, fishing and almost anything that includes my family.

     I feel that EVERY student is unique and should have the opportunity to learn based on their interest and their background. My classroom is a very active room with much freedom as long as there is learning going on!  Student's in EAST will direct their own learning while solving real world issues in our community!
