Students at LHS have the opportunity to explore the world of robotics through many different avenues. Students may choose to participate in competitive robotics, where they work together to build a robot that solves different problems each year. Our school participates in VEX Robotics, where students travel around the state and compete with and against other schools in tournaments to determine who has approached the problem solving and engineering design process most efficiently. Our team number is 81018, and we are the Jackrab-bots. Our students also learn about electrical and mechanical facets of engineering through building misc. projects using single-board microcontrollers and various other resources that enable them to build and design in such a way that they can build things they never may have thought possible.
