    Marc Sherrell, Principal


    The Lonoke School District would like to welcome Dr. Marc Sherrell as the Interim Lonoke High School Principal.

    Dr. Sherrell was originally from Bragg City, Missouri, and graduated from Kennett High School in 1991.  Upon graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force and held the position of B-52 Bomber Crew Chief.  Once out of the Air Force, he attended Arkansas State University and earned a degree in criminology.  He worked for the Division of Family Services and the Social Security Administration until becoming a teacher in 2005.  He taught special education and coached football, baseball and track in Malden and Kennett, Missouri and Valley View, Arkansas.  Upon becoming a principal in 2011, he served as K-12 principal for the Missouri School for the Severely Disabled.  Dr. Sherrell served as the assistant principal for Blytheville Public Schools before coming to Lonoke High School in 2013.  He served three years as Lonoke High School Principal and advanced to Support Services Director in 2016. 

    Dr. Sherrell has recently received his Doctorate of Education from Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, Arkansas.
