Lonoke Reads 2023
Our 2nd Annual Lonoke Reads event starts March 9! Lonoke Reads is a program that encourages Lonoke Primary, Elementary & Middle School students to read the same book TOGETHER over a 5-week period. This year, we're reading Frindle by Andrew Clements!
We ask that parents spend 20 minutes a day from March 9-April 4 reading with their child at home, following the provided reading schedule (being sent home March 9). Each day following, we will share a trivia question on our social media and web pages. Students will have classroom discussions about the chapters and questions, along with at-home activities to complete. When we work together, we can inspire a love of reading in our students!
Thursday, March 9, students will come home with their own copy of Frindle and a copy of the reading schedule. Then, that evening, we will kick off Lonoke Reads with a night on the LHS football field, from 5:00-6:30 p.m. There will be games, family activities, special guests, and free food & drinks! Everyone is welcome!
